Utah ranked the best state for college students
Utah scored high across the board – it’s got the second-highest population of 19-25-year-olds, sky-high happiness levels, low crime rates, inexpensive tuition, and reasonable room costs.
Utah #1 state to be a student
Every year millions of young people across the United States of America pin their hopes and dreams on going to college to further their education. With so many colleges to choose from, it can be overwhelming knowing where to start. College is so much more than getting a bachelor’s degree, it’s about the excitement of moving out and living independently, the anticipation of the first day in the classroom, a new area to explore, and of course the lifelong friends made.
To help students find the best place to study, we’ve compared the cost of tuition fees, rent, and board, the percentage of the population made up of 19-25-year-olds, average salary, crime rates, happiness index scores, the weather, and finally the number of top universities in each state.
“Deciding where to attend college is a huge decision and can feel very overwhelming. We want to help students by collating data that we hope will make their decision simpler. What’s important to one student won’t be as important to another so our ranking system is designed to make an easy comparison.
If you’re choosing where to attend college, you need to consider everything that will make an impact on your experience. Think about what’s important to you, it’s not just a university you’re choosing – it’s your neighborhood and where you might end up flourishing in your career. Your surroundings, the cost of living and your social life are all factors you should reflect on before deciding where to enroll. Getting an education will leave you with debts so it’s important you invest in the right place that works for you not just for today but for the next few years and beyond.”

How Utah Stacks Up
Studee makes it simple for international students to find and apply to universities abroad.
We’re the only website in the world with a multilingual team of NAFSA qualified advisors who speak to students, guiding them every step of the way from application to enrollment.
We believe education is the most powerful way to positively change the world but we’re also addressing the elephant in the room – the fact international education has negative consequences for our environment. So for every student we enroll, to contribute towards compensating the CO2 released when students fly to their chosen university, we’ll pay for trees to be planted on their behalf. Our goal is to plant one million trees over the coming years and transform the way international students find their dream university abroad.
Studee was co-founded by best friends Chris Morling and Simon Andrews. Chris has been dubbed in the global media as “Britain’s Best Boss” and recognized as one of the UK’s most successful tech entrepreneurs and philanthropists. Simon has worked in the global higher education sector for over 20 years, collaborating with universities all over the world to help millions of young people with their goals.
