Eagle Mountain Consolidates Civic Boards, Passes the Torch on Economic Development

Eagle Mountain is officially overhauling how residents participate in local governance. In a major structural shakeup approved on February 17, 2026, the City Council voted to dissolve five standing citizen advisory boards and consolidate most of their duties into a single, newly created Community Services Board. The new seven-member body will act as a centralized hub for “quality-of-life” issues, advising city leaders on parks, recreation, arts, culture, heritage, cemetery services, and community events.
