I apologize for being silent for a while on the subject of the prison. Staff and I have been working hard to compile the report which I am now making available to you here. The report isn’t exactly light reading, so be warned. On the other hand, the report is a comprehensive analysis of the reasons why the proposed prison relocation to the site in Eagle Mountain would be detrimental to the community. This report has now been distributed to each of the legislators who sit on the Prison Relocation Commission (PRC). The PRC is meeting again on February 6th at 1:00 PM, and I will be in attendance to represent the City. As always, I encourage you to come to the meeting if you are able. Viewing the agenda online, it does not appear as if the purpose of the meeting is clearly defined. You may view the report here: Response to Proposed Prison Relocation.
