This year the Mayor and Two City Council seats are up for election. Two residents have filed as candidates for the Mayor’s Seat. Melissa Clark a current City Council member will be running against Tom Westmoreland the current Mayor. There were 6 residents that put their names in for the two open City Council Seats. Donna Burnham who is running for her seat as well as 5 others, including Brett Wright who is currently serving on the Planning Commission, as well as Tyler Shimakonis who is on the Library Board and serving with his wife on the Youth Council Advisors, and Rich Wood who has served on the Planning Commission in the past. I have included a list of the candidates as well as their contact information and a copy of the forms they signed when they applied for candidacy. I will be sending out questionnaires to them shortly and will post the results on this site in the near future.
