“Rooted in Service. Focused on the Future.”
Eagle Mountain, UT – Laura Jensen, a respected healthcare leader and longtime community advocate, has officially announced her candidacy for Eagle Mountain City Council. With more than 20 years of experience as a respiratory therapist and hospital director, Jensen brings a steady, compassionate, and practical leadership style to the race.
In 2019, Jensen moved to Eagle Mountain to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Today, four generations of her family proudly call the city home. “We’ve planted roots here,” she says. “From the sidelines of youth sports to local events and business networking, we’ve embraced the spirit of this community.” Jensen’s campaign is built on the belief that thoughtful leadership, transparency, and collaboration are key to navigating Eagle Mountain’s rapid growth. Her top priorities include:
- Smart Growth & Infrastructure – Ensuring roads, utilities, and schools grow with the population.
- Public Safety – Supporting first responders and proactive safety planning.
- Community Engagement – Listening to residents and making informed, inclusive decisions.
In addition to her work in healthcare, Jensen serves on the Board of Directors for the Valley Crossroads/Eagle Mountain Chamber of Commerce, where she advocates for small businesses and sustainable community development. “I’m not running for a title, I’m running to serve,” said Jensen. “This is a grassroots campaign powered by neighbors, families, and local business leaders. I’m ready to listen, to lead, and to help shape Eagle Mountain’s future with compassion and purpose.”
