SARATOGA SPRINGS, UT — Emma Wilson, a local mom, volunteer, and resident focused on
responsible growth, officially announces her candidacy for Saratoga Springs City Council.
Wilson is passionate about fostering community, improving public safety and emergency planning, and upholding ethical government. She’s running to better connect Saratoga Springs.
Wilson commits to listen to residents and provide transparent leadership. She already
advocates for and addresses the issues residents care about in her community—from
congestion to safety and emergency preparedness—while serving on the Harvest Hills HOA
Master Board.
“I love Saratoga Springs, our beautiful open spaces, stunning views, and—most
importantly—the people,” Wilson said. “I’m running because I believe we need responsive,
community-focused leadership that prioritizes the needs of the families in our community and
invests wisely in our shared future.”
Since moving to Saratoga Springs in 2021, Wilson has volunteered with her local Republican
precinct, church congregation, and civic-focused nonprofits like The Utah Civics Project. She
regularly attends city events, feedback sessions, and more with her husband and two sons.
Wilson brings over a decade of work experience, primarily within the tech industry and
nonprofits. While employed at Facebook, she worked on the largest nonpartisan voter
registration drive in US history, registering 4.5 million voters across the US. She personally
proposed and implemented a solution that reduced the nationwide poll worker shortage prior to
the 2020 election. She now wants to bring that same strategic mindset and collaborative
approach to city government.
Her top priorities include responsible growth, building community, public safety, and improved
collaboration across the county and state. “I support sustainable, responsible growth,” Wilson
said. “That means tackling traffic congestion, ensuring our infrastructure keeps pace with new
development, and preserving the open spaces that make Saratoga Springs so special.” She
believes strongly in ethical, transparent city government that communicates with residents.
Ms. Wilson believes in investing in community amenities that strengthen connection and quality
of life. “We want to attract the best businesses here, and we also need strategic investments in
the projects that bring our city together—trails, parks, a library, and our new planned Main Street
city center area. Let’s build this right the first time.”
Public safety is another cornerstone of her campaign. Wilson strongly supports first responders,
and is particularly focused on creating safer walking and biking infrastructure for families.
“I want every kid in Saratoga Springs to be able to walk and bike to school, parks, and friends’
houses safely. I’ll prioritize safe paths, crosswalks, and thoughtful urban planning,” she said.
Wilson appreciates the importance of collaboration in city government. “City council is a team
sport. We need leaders who show up, build relationships, and work together. I’m already
building relationships across the county,” she said.
If elected, Wilson pledges to lead with honesty, respect, and transparency. “I’m a good listener
who tries to weigh tradeoffs carefully and make thoughtfu decisions. I pledge to communicate
with you and to be accountable to the people of Saratoga Springs. I love this city, and I’m ready
to do the work.”
Emma Wilson invites residents to connect with her on the campaign trail to share their thoughts
and hopes for the future of Saratoga Springs. “Call me, text me, or let’s meet up at a local park.
“I’d be honored to get your vote,” Wilson said. “Together, let’s build a strong, connected future
for our city.”
