The Ranches Master HOA has released the following letter. The letter states that the HOA will disband and cease operations within the next 90 days.
“As you have probably heard, a Utah district court recently decided the lawsuit that was brought by the residents in Willow Springs, Rock Creek, and Cold Springs (the “Sub-associations”) against the Ranches Master Home Owners Association (“The Ranches”). In light of the court’s ruling, we believe the Ranches needs to cease operating as soon as is practicable, most likely in the next 90 days or so. Until the Ranches is able to transfer all maintenance responsibilities to the city, terminate other contracts, and otherwise cease operations, all homeowners should continue to pay assessments.”
Eagle Mountain City has made the following response to the news:
Eagle Mountain City has been informed by The Ranches Master HOA of their intent to cease operations as soon as it is practicable due to the amount of damages assessed in a lawsuit brought by the Willow Springs, Cold Springs, and Rock Creek Sub-associations.
Once notice has been received by the City to take over maintenance in The Ranches, the City has planned and budgeted to do so. Our intent is to keep contracts in place with the companies who are currently handling maintenance of open space in The Ranches. We expect a smooth transition as the City assumes management of these responsibilities.
The Ranches Master HOA has scheduled a meeting on April 11 at The Ranches Academy at 6 p.m. to address any questions residents may have. Eagle Mountain City will have representatives there for any residents who have questions of the City.
