This year the EM City council has three seats that are up for election. The seats that are up for election are currently held by Colby Curtis, Stephanie Gricius and Ben Reaves. Colby Curtis is the only incumbent that is seeking re-election.
The candidates had to file a declaration of Candidacy. There are currently 10 people that are running for the three open seats. Below I have included their completed Candidacy forms. The candidates can opt to have their private phone numbers, mailing address, etc kept from GRAMA requests. I did a GRAMA request for the forms. In the email I received from the Fionnuala Kofoed, the City Recorder, she gives some more details.
“Attached is the requested information with redactions. State statute allows for a candidate to protect their home address, under GRAMA, and classify it as a nonpublic record if they provide an alternate address. In this case, their email address is provided as a alternate address. In other situations, a couple of candidates provided a personal email address and later provided an alternate email address. In these situations, their personal email has been redacted to protect their privacy. No declaration of candidacy form is provided for Jared Gray as he was nominated by Rich Wood.”The list of candidates are below (they are currently listed as they will appear on the ballot). It should also be noted that the order they appear on the ballot is decided by a process set-up by the State.
