On September 1st, 2022 several individuals contacted the Utah County Sheriff’s Office in regards to a “bright blue” car watching children and performing a lewd act while they were walking to school.

The Utah County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the incident, and that it was reported by two independent witnesses. The suspect was in a “bright blue car” on Porter’s Crossing by the Golden Eagle crosswalk.
The UCSO has charged a 25-year-old Eagle Mountain resident with Lewdness, a class B misdemeanor in response to the witness reports. Lewdness is defined as someone who performs any of the following acts in a public place or under circumstances that the person should know will likely cause affront or alarm: an act of sexual intercourse or sodomy; exposes his or her genitals or female breasts; masturbates; or any other act of lewdness.
After the reports, the deputies responding were able to locate the residence of the individual based on the license plate number given by the witness. As the deputies were interviewing the suspect’s wife the suspect returned to the residence driving the reported car.

UPDATE: 9/2/2022
We have decided to not release the individual’s name. The individual was not jailed, so there is no booking record. I can confirm that the individual does live in Eagle Mountain. For the safety of his family, we are not going to release his name at this time.
Also, I would like to ask residents to be mindful of the witnesses as well, one of which is currently being attacked for not releasing more information. She is afraid that releasing additional information will also be a security issue for his family, as well as hinder or harm the investigation.
