Residents on Cunninghill Drive in Eagle Mountain are facing a temporary water outage as a result of a water main repair between Atherton Lane and Desert Canyon Road.
The repair is necessitated by a contractor who accidentally damaged the water main during ongoing construction work in the area.
The incident occurred earlier today, prompting a response by Eagle Mountain City’s Water Department.
The affected stretch of Cunninghill Drive has been partially cordoned off to facilitate the repair process. The contractor responsible for the damage is working closely with water utility crews to expedite the necessary repairs and restore normalcy to the affected neighborhood.
Approximately 15 to 20 homes in the vicinity will experience a temporary interruption of water services for the next two hours (repairs started at 2 p.m. on Jan. 16, 2024) as the repair work is underway. Residents are urged to make necessary arrangements while the area is experiencing winter temperatures. Water utility officials assure the public that every effort is being made to minimize the impact on residents and complete the repairs as efficiently as possible.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution and follow detour signs while the repair work is in progress.
