Last Saturday, Lakeview Academy played host to a dynamic and engaging event that brought together local state legislators and the community over a delightful spread of pastries. The 2nd annual Politics and Pastries event, organized by the Eagle Mountain Chamber of Commerce, proved to be an insightful and well-attended affair.
The event featured esteemed guests, including Representative Jefferson Moss, Senator Dan McCay, Senator Heidi Balderree, Representative Stephanie Gricius, Representative Cory Maloy, and Senator Daniel Thatcher. These local representatives shared their perspectives on crucial topics that impact our community, ranging from the upcoming legislative session to education funding, transportation and infrastructure, housing affordability, taxes, air quality, and water issues.
With over 80 eager attendees, the event reached standing room only, highlighting the community’s keen interest in understanding and participating in local politics. The diverse range of topics covered allowed attendees to gain valuable insights into the issues that directly affect their lives.
