The Interview
Give us a little background on your company, what it does, and how long it has been in business.
We are an outpatient mental health counseling center. We provide mental health counseling to children, youth and adults. We provide individual, family and group counseling. We accept most insurances. We have been in business since April 18, 2013 making this our 10 year anniversary this last month.
How long has your company been located in Eagle Mountain?
And was it located somewhere else before? We have been located in Eagle Mountain since our incorporation in 2013. We started out by subleasing a small room from Wendy Komoroski. She was nice enough to let us have the space we needed to get going for a few years.
Why Eagle Mountain?
Me and my wife moved out here in 2006 and have loved the city. We knew it was growing so decided to chance starting a counseling center out here and it turns out there has been plenty of work to do.
What makes your company stand out above others in the industry?
We feel we are very well trained and have higher customer service. We hire only the best therapists and support extra trainings. We accept insurance and we feel this is a great benefit to people even though many other counseling clinics do not. We also have worked to create a better therapeutic office environment than most other clinics. As a business we also work very hard to create a more healthy work environment so our clinicians and other employees have the best place to come and do what they do so well.
What is the weirdest thing you have seen happen while in business?
Oh boy, probably the day that both of the front doors of our building blew off in a windstorm 🙂
Do you have any advice to other business owners for doing business in Eagle Mountain?
Yes, this is the place. It is booming and there is a lot of support from the city and the chamber and other small business owners.
What is your favorite thing about Eagle Mountain?
The people and community are great. I also like all the walking paths and trails. It is quiet and beautiful out here.
What do you think the community can do to improve?
It is really pretty good but I would say to just be more kind to each other – especially on social media. I think we can have different opinions without attacking character.
