Like other residents here, living where her businesses thrive has created an even deeper connection and desire to protect the future of the town. She is tied to its success in multiple ways and her family is tied to it with her. Alina and her husband Mark have raised seven children and have four rambunctious and amazing grandchildren. In addition to being a proud mom and grandma, Alina also takes pride in her accomplishments earning her BA in Business Administration from the University of Utah, earning her pilot’s certificate and then building her own airplane that she has flown all the way to Florida, Wisconsin and the islands of Washington State.
Alina loves to share that passion for flight. Some of her greatest joys have been working with interns from Cedar Valley High School and introducing them to the world of flight and the various future pathways they can take in aviation. The experiences, knowledge and love of Fairfield that Alina possesses and brings to the leadership as a councilmember of Fairfield are unparalleled. Serving the residents of Fairfield is her greatest honor.

I play well with others…lol. I enjoy working with others. There are challenges for sure, but being able to work together toward a common goal is a reward in itself. Fairfield needs good leadership; people who strive to protect the residents while upholding the rights of others. I have a good understanding of legal processes and enjoy researching new possibilities.
What do you see as the most pressing issues facing our city, and how do you plan to address them?
Growth pressures and land desecration are the most pressing issues facing Fairfield. Expanding town services to include code enforcement authorities and office staff are needed to keep our town running smoothly and to protect the land uses into the future.
How do you plan to engage and involve the community in decision-making processes?
Finding better ways to communicate with residents will go a long way to involve the community in the decision-making process. A periodic newsletter and social media will help to keep the community informed and they will be more apt to become involved.

It is vital that we create an economic development plan for the future. By supporting and building infrastructure to attract the types of businesses into Fairfield that the residents desire, we can create, from the very beginning, the future city we want our great-great grandchildren to enjoy.
How do you prioritize public safety and community well-being? What ideas or strategies do you have for enhancing public safety and building stronger neighborhoods?
