Questions and Answers
Why are you running for city council and what motivated you to get involved in local government?
Town Council Seat A
What relevant experience or skills do you bring to the role of city council member?
I have been in management for every company I have worked for and started and ran my own business for 3 years. I have the ability to look at all sides of the situation and take the past and future into account when thinking about all issues.
What do you see as the most pressing issues facing our city, and how do you plan to address them?
Growth- It’s important to understand that growth is coming wether we like it or not. The real important thing though is to make sure we are prepared and do what we can to manage it in a way we can all handle. Our kids will live here…what do we want it to look like when they are grown?
How do you plan to engage and involve the community in decision-making processes?
The only reason I am running is because I am a member of this community and want to see it grow in a way we can all live with. I would only make decisions based on what our community wants.
What is your stance on fiscal responsibility and budget management? How do you plan to balance the city’s financial needs with the expectations of residents?
Our leaders should be open and honest and transparent in all they do. The only dollar we can spend is one that has the best interest of the whole town in mind.
What is your position on sustainable and environmentally-friendly initiatives, such as renewable energy, waste management, or green spaces?
We are a small town and this is huge. The only way we can keep the feel of Fairfield is to have open spaces. We can’t pretend however that we don’t all make wast and it has to go somewhere. With two landfills in our town we have to balance the look and smell of Fairfield with what we see is the best way to grow.
How do you plan to address affordable housing challenges in our city? Are there specific policies or initiatives you would advocate for?
Not sure at this time.
